The Heart Behind the Foundation

Our Mission:

To provide financial support, advocacy, and hope to families of children with congenital heart disease—empowering them to navigate the challenges of treatment and recovery with dignity, strength, and a community of love behind them.

Eli’s Lionheart Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization born out of a parent's deepest love and a little boy's historic fight. We are dedicated to providing immediate financial assistance and emotional support to families of children living with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).

When a child is diagnosed with CHD, a family’s world is turned upside down. The financial burden of specialized medical treatments, extended hospital stays, travel, and lost wages can be devastating. We believe that no parent should have to worry about bills while sitting at their child's bedside.

By easing these financial pressures, we ensure that families can focus entirely on what matters most: their child’s health and well-being. To do this, we build strong partnerships with children's hospitals, dedicated donors, and local community organizations to raise awareness about the urgent needs of CHD families.

Our Vision:

A future where no family faces the challenges of congenital heart disease alone, and every little heart has the resources, love, and backing needed for the best possible quality of life.

Our Commitment:

Congenital Heart Disease affects thousands of families each year. The emotional toll is overwhelming. The financial strain can be crushing. Our mission is to ensure families facing these moments don't face them alone.

On behalf of Mary's family, the families we've supported, and those we will continue to stand beside: thank you. Your generosity creates real relief. Your compassion creates real impact.

With gratitude,

Justin Dziak, Founder

Honoring Mary

When Mary was born in July 2023 with a congenital heart defect, her family knew she was a fighter. But in fall 2024, the unthinkable happened: Mary suffered cardiac arrest and slipped into a coma.

In their darkest hour, her family connected with our community. Sadly, Mary passed away soon after.

During a time when grief should be a family's only focus, the reality of medical bills and funeral costs can be paralyzing. Thanks to your support, we stepped in to cover these expenses. You couldn't take away their pain, but you did take away their financial fear—allowing a grieving family to focus entirely on honoring their beautiful daughter.

The Tellor Family

We are proud to have awarded a $10,000 grant to the Tellor family, Nicole and Jason, and their twin daughters, Avery and Emery.

Emery was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), the same condition that inspired the creation of Eli’s LionHeart Foundation.

Since birth, she has undergone two open-heart surgeries and is preparing for a third. Through it all, the Tellors have shown incredible strength, love, and resilience. This grant helps support Emery’s ongoing medical care while her family navigates the challenges of raising two energetic twins.
